Alexis’ debut short film THE BEGINNING & THE MIDDLE, which she wrote & directed, premiered in 2022 at festivals such as BFI Flare (Europe’s largest LGBTQIA+ film festival), OutFest, and NFFTY to name a few. She was selected by OutFest as one of three filmmakers to be awarded the inaugural Colin Higgins Youth Filmmaker Grant. She is currently developing her directorial debut feature with Steve Buscemi’s Olive Productions and Emma Seligman (Bottoms, Shiva Baby) executive producing.
Alexis previously directed and starred in a branded commercial for Google. She developed a ½ hour dark comedy series for FX and an original pilot with Kay Cannon’s K&L productions. Alexis has directed 30+ comedy sketches and hundreds of videos for her self-titled YouTube channel where she has a queer cult following. She came out publicly on her 18th birthday (read about it in the Huffington Post) same day she hit 1 million YouTube subscribers. She currently has 350k+ Instagram followers.
On the acting side, Alexis starred in the HBO Max pilot CAMP FRIENDS from Jax Media, director Todd Biermann, and EP Adam Goodman. She can be seen starring alongside Iris Apatow in the short film VODKA, written & directed by Roxy Sorkin, which premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and in the 2023 SXSW short film I PROBABLY SHOULDN’T BE TELLING YOU THIS. She starred in Jill Gutowitz’s short THE LADIES alongside Lisa Ann Walter, which also premiered at OutFest. Alexis had a memorable guest star turn on RAMY’s first season in the episode titled “Mikaela,” and heavily recurred on THE GOLDBERGS for ABC (she returned last year for the show’s final season). She starred in seasons one and two of the AT&T/Fullscreen series GUILTY PARTY as well as the Go90 series EMBEDS. On the feature side, she starred in the Netflix original feature COIN HEIST and can be seen in the 2020 rom com HOOKING UP alongside Brittany Snow and Sam Richardson as well as the Mike Flanagan features OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL and LIKE SHARE FOLLOW. In 2018, Alexis was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Digital Series for ZAC & MIA.
